With Trevor Gulliver of St. John’s Restaurant and Boulevard Napoleon wines, Guest Chef Ryan Crawford of Backhouse
Many of you will recognize the name St. John Restaurant from England, co-owners Trevor Gulliver and Chef Fergus Henderson.
Several years ago, these gents set up shop in the village of La Livineiere in the Minervois region of France. Here, they make and bottles beautiful single-vineyard Carignan, Grenache and Grenache Gris – all reflective of the area, but also, of their mindfulness for wines that would enhance, not overpower, their food back in London. These Boulevard Napoleon wines, now represented by CRU Wine Merchants, are savoury, rich, complex and completely delicious.
Add to this portfolio, the house wines of St. John from Champagne to Burgundy, as well as the refreshing dry southern French Beausoleil Rose and we have an arsenal of bottles to enjoy with a perfect Harvest Sunday Brunch at Stratus.
Please join us September 24 at Stratus Vineyards with Trevor and his wines and discover this incredible journey through the underbelly (Ha!) of cuisine and hospitality in London alongside his trials and joys of winemaking in France.
