Kristlemas @ Stratus

Kristlemas Market at Stratus – this Sunday the 16th. The countdown is on and the lists are getting checked twice. To help the time-pressured who still want to give creative, thoughtful and unique gifts, Stratus Vineyards is hosting a one-stop munch-and-shop event on December 16th in Niagara- on-the-Lake. Created in partnership with Lauren O’Malley Norris and Gathering Niagara, Stratus will host The Kristlemas Market inside and outside the winery this Sunday between noon and 5:00 pm.

“We are bringing together over 20 vendors, each one carefully chosen. There will be everything from artisans to food trucks; authors, bakers and other diverse vendors all in one beautiful place. The idea is

to make your shopping experience fun and festive, with great food and great finds for your list,” said Suzanne Janke, Director of Hospitality and Retail for Stratus Vineyards. “We encourage people to come with friends and family, eat and drink, and enjoy a great sense of community.”

Along with gifts of wine, wine accessories and books from Stratus, the Market will feature artisanal food products, bakery items, chocolate, cheese, photography, soaps, jewellery and natural décor. “The vast majority of the vendors are local, and everyting sold is unique, small-production, ethical and lovely,” says O’Malley Norris. “These are all feel-good gifts, and there’s something for everyone!”

There will also be guided craft projects for children and adults to enjoy, so you can make homemade gifts of your own to give.

Beer from The Oast House and Stratus’ wine, along with a full selection of warm drinks from Balzac’s will be available, with food trucks outside and other food vendors indoors. And everyone will be kept in holiday style with the music of the Permtones.

There is no admission fee, and in true holiday spirit, a portion of the proceeds from the Kristlemas Market will be directed to Newark Neighbours. Clothing and toys for Newark will be accepted on-site as well.
